Free Google Search and more on Mobile and PC

Google India

If you are a subscriber of Airtel mobile and got a GPRS enabled phone then you are eligible to browse and use http://www.google.co.in for free. You can also connect your phone as modem and browse Google India in PC. All you need is the Opera browser, since Airtel is blocking other browser user-agents to access their service. The handset settings to browse this service is same as Airtel Live settings.
Both PC and mobile settings are given bellow.

Access Point Name (APN)
Proxy address
Port
airtelfun.com
100.1.200.99
8080

For mobile browsing use your default browser not opera mini and configure your mobile with the above settings (Airtel Live Settings). As for Browsing in PC, connect your phone as modem to PC using “airtelfun.com” APN, after that you have to configure proxy settings of Opera, that is Tools>Preferences…>Advanced>Network>Proxy Servers> tick HTTP and HTTPS, then enter the above proxy address and port number and after that you are ready to use Google Search and lots of other Google India services for free.

List of useful Google India services other than Google Search:

1. http://www.google.co.in/news
2. http://www.google.co.in/movies
3. http://www.google.co.in/maps
4. http://www.google.co.in/books

Airtel impose data charge if the subscriber is browsing any website that is not under google.co.in or Airtel Live wap portal domain. So try it at your own risk don't blame me.

PS: Airtel is not blocking/charging for HTTPS urls so you can also browse any secure site for free and using secure webproxy sites like https://vtunnel.com or https://youmask.net you can browse any website. Though speed through HTTPS is generally very slow and unrealiable. Also Airtel may block HTTPS access anytime.
